How long does it take to process a skilled visa?

The processing time varies greatly from person to person depending on your personal circumstances, which visa subclass you are applying for and the quality of your supporting documentation.

We would consider 6 to 12 months to be a realistic estimate for overseas applicants.

Registered nurses, skilled onshore students and onshore New Zealand citizens will be given priority processing and should expect their application to be processed in 3-6 months.
